With the need to reach net carbon emissions by 2050 to prevent global temperatures from exceeding 1.5°C\, the building industry is beginning to see requests from Owners to reduce emissions in the construction and operation of their facilities. This presentation will discuss key concepts pertaining to carbon emissions\, how companies are beginning to feel the impacts of Owner's requests\, and what guidance ASHRAE has provided and plans to provide for HVAC codes\, regulations\, design\, and construction.  \n\n	\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n			\n	\n	\n		\n	\n				\n					\n	\n	\n\n\n\n			\n	\n	\n		\n	Rachel Coyle\, EIT\, Southland Industries \nRachel Coyle\, EIT began her full-time career with Southland Industries as a Mechanical Design Engineer in July 2020. Before starting her career\, she received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Architectural Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. During the first years of her career at Southland Industries\, Ms. Coyle has worked on projects in the government\, mission-critical\, and commercial market sectors.
